MADRID, April 2 (Xinhua) -- Wednesday sees a further four games in the 30th round of matches in the Spanish Liga Santander which will have an important effect on the battle to qualify for Europe and to avoid relegation.

The day's biggest game sees an in-form Valencia entertain Real Madrid in the Mestalla Stadium.

Sunday's 1-0 away to Sevilla lifted Valencia to sixth place in the table and extended their unbeaten record to 16 games in all competitions. That means they are going to be by far the toughest rivals that Zinedine Zidane's Real Madrid have had to face since he returned to the dugout in March.

Madrid needed a last minute goal to beat bottom of the table Huesca on Sunday and Zidane is again likely to make important changes for the visit to Valencia with Luka Modric and Casemiro likely to be back in the side along with Keylor Navas and perhaps Lucas Vazquez.

A win for Valencia could take them fourth depending on Getafe's result away to Espanyol on Tuesday.

Athletic Club Bilbao's form under Gaizka Garitano has lifted them to eighth and a home win against Levante would take them closer to a European qualification which seemed impossible when Garitano replaced Eduardo Berizzo in the wake of a 3-0 defeat away to Levante in December which left the Basque side with just 11 points from 14 games.

Rayo Vallecano travel to Eibar after Paco Jemez's return as coach ended a seven-game losing streak, but Rayo need to start turning draws into wins if they are to make up the five points which separate them from safety.

There is certain to be drama in Huesca as the bottom of the table outfit entertain third from bottom Celta Vigo.

Iago Aspas scored twice on Saturday to inspire Celta's fightback from 2-0 down at home to Villarreal to a 3-2 win and Celta will hope to carry that morale boost into Wednesday's game.

Huesca once again performed well but with no reward as they suffered a last minute defeat away to Real Madrid and with the club seven points from safety, nothing but a win will suffice in a game against a direct rival in the fight to stay up.

Both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are in action on Tuesday, while the round of games finishes on Thursday with Sevilla entertaining Alaves, Leganes against Valladolid and Real Sociedad at home to Betis.
